D&C 136, D&C 116

40 Have I not delivered you from your enemies, only in that I have left a witness of my name?
41 Now, therefore, hearken, O ye people of my church; and ye elders listen together; you have received my kingdom.
42 Be diligent in keeping all my commandments, lest judgments come upon you, and your faith fail you, and your enemies triumph over you. So no more at present. Amen and Amen.

116

1 Spring Hill is named by the Lord aAdam-ondi-Ahman, because, said he, it is the place where bAdam shall come to visit his people, or the Ancient of Days shall sit, as spoken of by Daniel the prophet.

That is the entire chapter of 116. That surprised me, extremely short. Anyway, reading these both together sounds like a commandment to Chris and I to buy that piece of land near there. Since we have talked about it, it just seems that we need to do it. I even looked for properties out there so that's progress of a sort. Maybe we can go visit before we leave Missouri.

Adam-ondi-ahman is kind of Hebrew sounding. In Hebrew it would mean something like the place where man wonders for training. Or more specifically where Adam wonders for training. A more personal spin on that (based on scripture) is how this life is the time to prepare to meet God.

That is really cool. I always thought that I should know some Hebrew and Greek and whatever the other languages were to understand scriptures better.
