3 John 1, D&C 65

11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

This sounds like they mean prophets. Few people have seen God besides the prophets, so that must be what it means.

12 Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

Keep a journal! So many scriptures point to that, and here is yet another one. I love how it says he has a good report of all men. I certainly don't have that. Most people like me, but I have alienated a few and angered others. I am sure there are some people who don't like me at all. It's an amazing gift to have a good report of all men.

D&C 65

4 Pray unto the Lord, call upon his holy name, make known his wonderful works among the people.

I like this too. I have been working on learning about the atonement and how to use it. I recently found out how I can use it and apply it in my life. So I will be calling upon the Lord in a different way from now on when trying to apply the atonement. I always share good things that have come to me that are from the Lord. All things are, but some are more apparent I guess.

I think when we get to heaven we're going to think it almost silly how we thought of God when we were back on earth.

A lot more people see God more often than they think.

Have you heard the following?

“…Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” (Marianne Williamson, A Return to Love")
